Are you kidding me?! Really? I can't believe the nerve of some people. I can't even fully grasp anymore how far our nation as well as the rest of the world has fallen. This great country needs a reform before things like this spread any further.

My Job Sucks
Sure, it's a pretty good living. Granted, the pay is better in the civilian world, but you don't get meals for free (only if you are an unmarried E1-E4, plus, you get what you pay for, Meal-$0). You also don't get free medical (civies about to get that too) or dental (who wants to go to the dentist anyway). Military also get housing for free. Of course, if you are an unaccompanied (unmarried) E1-E4, you get to live in the dorms with the rest of the lowlies. Most of which are nice and decent enough. There are, however, the few who like to get drunk and tear the place up, drive, and/or cause an awful lot of ruckus. Sometimes, they get themselves into trouble, but other times, they get everyone else into it. Once again, I must mention, you get what you pay for. Lest I forget, leave. That's 'vacation' for all you civilians. 2 1/2 days of leave earned per month. That's a pretty good deal. If you get to take it. For instance, I was planning on getting my mom and sister over to visit last summer and was going to take leave. I had been planning to do this for a month or so. In February, I got sent to South Korea. For 6 months. Vacation scrapped.
Let me explain why I said not to join the armed forces. For one, it's getting a little dangerous to be a Christian in here. Especially if you're a hothead like me. They have rules about what you can say and what you can't say. They have rules about whether or not you can even talk about your religion. A fair amount of these rules are overlooked, for now. But they are there, ready and waiting to be used. Another reason I said not to join is, you can't get fired unless you royally screw up or become unfit for duty. Unfit for duty could mean anything from you broke you leg and it will never heal properly, therefor you can't pass the physical guidelines made to keep you alive in combat, to you have ADD. Now, I know what you're thinking. I know because I thought the same thing. The ultimate in job security. This is awesome! But, no. You cannot be fired, but you can be put in prison for disobeying a direct order, making a comment that was taken the wrong way by someone and be called a sexual harasser or even being treasonous. All it takes is for some whiny, overly sensitive liberal to take something the wrong way and you're in a whole heap of trouble.
You can even be punished for accidents. Sometimes, the boss may be having a bad day, and you could just be in the wrong place at the wrong time. For example, I had forgotten to refill my canteen when I came into work, an inspector caught it by accident (he brushed against it and felt it was empty). and Because a certain supervisor got embarrassed in front of a few of his higher ups, I and another A1C are having to take everyone else's weekend duty for the next month. If I were being punished because I had done something wrong or even if I had to be made an example of for the boss' bosses, I wouldn't have a problem. But my next month of weekends are out the window because this certain supervisor got mad because of a simple oversight that hurt no one and caused no damage. Now does working for the government sound so great?

Rising Stupidity Rates
Barack Hussein Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize. Why aren't more people outraged over this?! I have never seen more disregard for human intelligence since evolutionists claimed we came from a universal accident. Most people who have won the Nobel Prize have done something to earn it. President Obama has been given this award for promising to do something. He won it for good intentions! The road to hell is paved with good intentions. The exact wording on the Nobel is, "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples." I have made extraordinary efforts to resolve conflicts and bring my work place and the military maintenance field as a whole together. Should I get a Nobel for that? The answer is definitely, NO! This is absolutely unbelievable!
